A cast partial denture is a highly reduced denture with a metal framework as its base. This type of denture transmits chewing pressure in a physiologically balanced way, distributing the load evenly between the gums and the teeth, thereby preserving the remaining natural teeth and the jawbone.

Instead of wire clasps, the teeth are most often secured using cast clasps or other so-called retention elements.

Thanks to the reduced size of the denture, the sensation of a foreign object in the mouth is significantly diminished, giving patients a better sense of taste and responsiveness to temperature. The durability of these restorations depends on the patient’s initial condition as well as adherence to daily denture hygiene recommendations.
